Geneva, TotalEnergies’ european trading hub

Geneva is the historic heart of TotalEnergies’ trading operations. From this European hub, a large share of our trading activities in crude oil, refined products, LNG, and electricity is managed, with strong connections to our other global platforms.

1984

Launch of oil and derivatives trading in Geneva under the subsidiary “Elf Trading SA”.

1987

Team moves into the Geneva World Trade Center → 15 employees.

2000

Gas and Power trading activities established in London.

2014-2017

Arrival of other Company branches to support trading: refinery coordination, supply for European sales and marine fuels, etc.

2019

Power and gas/LNG trading (TGP) activities move from London to Geneva. Creation of TotalEnergies’ European trading hub in Geneva.

Today

TotalEnergies’ Geneva trading hub has nearly 1,100 employees across 17,000 m².

Houston, at the crossroads of american energy

Located in Texas, the Houston hub is a major player in North American trading. It covers all physical and financial products: crude oil, refined products, natural gas, electricity, and energy transition-related products.

The teams manage market activities across North America, in close connection with the Company’s industrial and commercial assets. They also contribute to the development of new low-carbon solutions on the continent.

Singapore, gateway to asian markets

As the reference hub for trading activities in the Asia-Pacific region, Singapore is particularly active in LNG, marine fuels, and emerging electricity markets.

Its teams coordinate physical flows in a fast-growing region, with recognized logistics expertise and the agility to adapt to regional dynamics.
